Desperado
28年後，Eagles再次出碟，封面是一片沙漠，封底是4人在沙漠前行的背影，長長的腳印走上音樂的不歸路，單看封面，已經讓我有足夠決心買這隻《LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN》CD。
雖然這班個樂隊已經變成4隻老鷹，但他們的音樂卻愈老愈辣。Eagles最出名的，是他們那首《Hotel California》，但我最喜歡聽的，是他們一首舊歌《Desperado》。
Desperado是亡命之徒，有點像西部的獨行客，但從歌詞的意境看，更似是一個浪人。不敢讓別人愛，不敢留情的浪人，雖然自由地流浪，其實卻困在孤獨的囚牢，歌詞中一句：「Freedom, ah, freedom
That's just some people talking
Your prison is walking thru this world all alone」道盡箇中哲理。在這個匆匆而過的人生，忽然很有共鳴。
Eagles的Don Henley獨唱版本，唱腔很blue，很滄桑。滕田惠美和Carpender的翻唱版本都很柔和幽怨，但少了浪人的滄桑。Westlife唱到變成pop song，都不及Eagles那麼有味道。
流浪，有時是為世所逼，也有一點個人選擇，能夠找到一個地方讓你安心歇歇，已經是幸福。
